Why Should You Attend a TDS Workshop?

We surveyed attendees at the inaugural Transform Dental Sleep Symposium so we could enhance the event for you in 2025.. Respondents highlighted the desire for deeper exploration into 3 key areas:

  1. Pediatric sleep disordered breathing
  2. Medical billing
  3. Marketing sleep practices to physicians and patients
They said they wanted in-depth sessions on these topics. While the symposium already offers a packed schedule over two days with lectures and panel discussions lasting 30 to 60 minutes, there’s a demand for more focused exploration. To address this, we’re introducing the TDS Kaizen Workshops. These comprehensive sessions, each lasting six hours, will take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, ahead of the main Symposium in Scottsdale, AZ. Each workshop will focus on one of the aforementioned topics, featuring small-group sessions limited to 35 attendees and led by expert speakers. Workshop registration requires full registration for the Symposium.

Pediatric SDB: The Impact of Early Diagnosis & Dental Management
Think of the last 50 year-old sleep patient in your chair. How did they get there? What if the signs and symptoms of their apnea were present 40 years ago, but no one recognized it?How many of your pediatric patients are on ADHD meds? How many of them perform poorly in school, have behavioral issues, or wet the bed until they’re way too old? Whether they’re your own kids, those of a friend, or your patients, helping them begins with information. What should you look for? How do you discuss concerns with parents? What treatments are available? What else might be a factor, and how can you manage these patients in your dental practice today, so they aren’t there for an oral appliance 20 years from now?
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  1. Recognize signs and symptoms of pediatric sleep disordered breathing.
  2. Understand key talking points when discussing suspected pedo OSA with parents.
  3. Determine when patients should be referred to specialists.
  4. Explain the most common treatment options.
