Why Should You Attend a Pre-Symposium Workshop?

We surveyed attendees at the inaugural Transform Dental Sleep Symposium so we could enhance the event for you in 2026. Respondents highlighted the desire for deeper exploration into the following key areas:

  1. Marketing Sleep Practices to Physicians and Patients
  2. Medical Billing
  3. Innovations in Oral Appliance Therapy

They said they wanted in-depth sessions on these topics. While the symposium already offers a packed schedule over two days with lectures and panel discussions lasting 30 to 60 minutes, there’s a demand for more focused exploration. To address this, we’re introducing the TDS Kaizen Workshops. These comprehensive sessions, each lasting six hours, will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, ahead of the main Symposium in Scottsdale, AZ. Each workshop will focus on one of the aforementioned topics, featuring small-group sessions limited to 35 attendees and led by expert speakers. Workshop registration requires full registration for the Symposium.

The Sleep Patient Growth Playbook: Dental, Digital, and Doctor-Driven

Unlock the strategies behind internal referrals, patient-facing marketing, and scalable physician outreach that fuels long-term success for your dental sleep practice. Growing a successful dental sleep practice isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing the right things in the right order. In this actionable workshop, you’ll learn how to identify and activate the three primary sources of sleep apnea patients: your existing dental base, online direct-to-patient marketing, and physician referrals.

We’ll cover when and why to separate your sleep brand from your dental brand, how to build systems that support each growth channel, and what most dentists get wrong about physician outreach. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to scale, this session gives you a practical roadmap to consistently fill your sleep schedule.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Identify the three primary pathways to sleep patient acquisition and when to focus on each one.
  2. Understand how to structure your brand and website to support both direct-to-patient and physician referral growth.
  3. Learn practical strategies for building lasting physician referral relationships that convert to regular patient flow.
  4. Walk away with an actionable digital marketing plan to attract qualified sleep patients online and convert them into scheduled appointments.
Get Paid, Not Played with Medical Billing

Learn not only how to get treatments paid, but also how to ensure that the carriers don’t claw back those funds with audits and recoupment requests. What you don’t know can hurt you. Ensure that you’re equipped with the knowledge and resources to safeguard your dental sleep practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Create the best workflow for proper documentation to make prior authorizations seem like a breeze.
  2. Learn the intricacies of insurance policies, including legal coding strategies to maximize payments.
  3. The truth behind remote patient monitoring and when to use the K code.
  4. Acquire the case presentation skills to drive value to the oral appliance treatment.
  5. Get sound financial strategies for your state. Should you get a dental sleep medicine contract? Use gap approvals? Accept assignment or fee for service?
  6. Know what TMD and Oral Surgery procedures are covered by medical insurance and which codes to use.
  7. Recoupment and audit preparation. Review what the insurance has been looking at in 24 and 25 for audits and recoupments.
