Dr. Kent Smith has been treating patients with sleep breathing disorders in the Dallas area for more than 25 years. He facilitates several national and international seminars and lectures each year to train dentists in dental sleep medicine. He has written dozens of articles and is the founder of the Sleep Roundtable meeting which brings together hundreds of clinicians each year.

Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife, four daughters, and grandchildren. He is an experienced diver, has published multiple novels that weave mystery and sleep together, and is a raving fan of Dallas sports teams.

Dr. Erin Elliott grew up in Southern California but went away to a small NAIA school in Western New York where she played collegiate soccer and graduated summa cum laude from Houghton College. After graduating Creighton Dental School in the top 5 in 2003, she settled in North Idaho to begin her general dentistry career.

She has a special interest in Dental Sleep Medicine and technology. She has lectured extensively on this topic and loves to help general dentists extend this life-saving service to their patients. She is an active member of her local American Dental Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She teaches a 2 day Sleep Apnea Implementation Course with 3D-Dentists and Dr. Tarun Agarwal.

Jonathan Lown

Dr. Jonathan Lown is board certified in internal medicine, sleep medicine, and lipidology, and serves as the Clinical Director at Delta Sleep Center of Long Island. Selected as a member of the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha in 1992, Dr. Lown graduated medical school, Magna Cum Laude in 1995. From 1995 through 1998 he completed his residency and internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.

In addition to private practice and frequent lecturing, Dr. Lown currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine for Stonybrook University’s Medical School. He holds Diplomate statuses with the American Board of Internal Medicine in Sleep Medicine as well as Internal Medicine.

Dr. Stacey Layman is the co-founder of GoTo Sleep, a multi-location, multi-doctor practice exclusively dedicated to treating sleep disordered breathing patients throughout the Phoenix valley.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Dr. Layman is recognized as a board-certified diplomate by both the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA). She previously co-founded GoGo Billing, one of the pioneering DSM medical billing companies.

Dr. Layman graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry. She’s honed her expertise in cosmetic dentistry and dental sleep medicine, lecturing extensively on both topics. She has also appeared in national television commercials for notable dental brands. She adores her two teenage daughters, her husband, Nick, their pack of dogs, and a house that is in a state of perpetual renovation.

Dr. Max Kerr is a wildly successful dental entrepreneur and Professional EOS implementer. After graduating from UTHSCSA in 2007, he built a multimillion-dollar dental practice that he sold in 2022.

Currently, he is the owner and operator of Sleep Better Austin, a leading dental sleep medicine practice with five locations in Austin, TX. Max is a member of the Austin Entrepreneur Organization, where he shares his expertise and experience in building successful businesses. As a Professional EOS implementer, Max enjoys helping other entrepreneurs and business owners achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

John Tucker

Dr. John Tucker has maintained a private restorative dental practice in Erie, PA since 1982. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and a Member of the American College of Oral Implantology, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Tucker has Mastership status in the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics as well as Fellowship in the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics.

As a Diplomate of The American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, Dr. Tucker’s sleep practice, Erie Dental Sleep Therapy was the eighth AADSM Accredited facility in June of 2012.

Dr. Tucker has lectured extensively on the topics of dental implants and dental sleep medicine. He is passionate about educating his colleagues about the treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing and is the founder of Tucker Educational Excellence – a training continuum developed to scale sleep education throughout the dental field. He is an avid fisherman and a voracious reader.

Stacy Ochoa

Dr. Stacy Ochoa graduated from the St. Louis Community College-Forest Park dental hygiene program in 1995. She went on to dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, graduating with distinction and honors in 2002. She began her sleep career nearly 20 years ago and is a Diplomate with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Ochoa has lectured nationally on the topic of pediatric sleep disordered breathing and is the co-founder of ASAP Pathway, an educational platform dedicated to helping her dental colleagues increase their knowledge base so they can intervene early.

Dr. Ochoa loves spending time with her husband and five beautiful children. She juggles the roles of Mom, Dentist, Business Owner, and Pediatric Airway Warrior, sometimes dropping a ball as we all do, but picking it right back up and juggling away… because it’s important.

Dr. Mark Murphy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and serves as Lead Clinical Faculty for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. He also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy and lectures internationally on leadership, practice management, case presentation, and sleep disordered breathing.

Dr. Murphy holds multiple patents and has contributed to numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals.  He is an informative and entertaining speaker, blending a stand-up style of humor and anecdotes with current evidence-based research that attendees can take home and use immediately.

Daron K. Roberts is a former NFL coach, founding director of the Center for Sports Leadership and Innovation (CSLi) at the University of Texas and author of A Kids Book About Empathy and Call an Audible. A former venture capital partner, Daron is an active investor and private equity advisor.

Call an Audible was tabbed as a #1 New Release and Best Seller by Amazon and Sports Illustrated selected the book as one of its “Best Sports Business Books”.

A Kids Book About Empathy was named to “Oprah’s Favorite Things” list. An active writer on issues ranging from corporate culture to leadership, Roberts was honored as LinkedIn’s #1 Top Voice in Sports.

Daron is a graduate of the University of Texas, the Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Law School.

Anne Marie Morse

Dr. Anne Marie Morse has a decade of experience treating adults and children for neurologic and sleep disorders. In addition to being a clinician, she is also a researcher, educator and administrator. Dr. Morse is fully invested in sleep health advocacy and increasing awareness about the importance of healthy sleep and the impact of sleep-wake disorders.

Dr. Morse earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her post-doctoral training in pediatrics and child neurology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. She then completed a fellowship in sleep medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Montefiore Medical Center. She has served as the director of the pediatric sleep medicine and child neurology programs at Geisinger Medical Center since 2019. She also serves on program evaluation committees for Geisinger’s adult neurology residency and pediatric residency programs. Dr. Morse is board-certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Pediatric Neurology and in Sleep Medicine.

Well-known for her expertise in sleep and her DAMM GOOD SLEEP TikTok channel, Dr. Morse serves as a key opinion leader for pediatric narcolepsy and hypersomnia disorders. She frequently speaks at national conferences, and co-hosts Sleeping Around The Podcast with Matt Allard.

Jason Doucette

Born and raised in Las Vegas, NV, Dr. Jason Doucette ventured north where he attended the University of Nevada, Reno and received his bachelor’s degree of science in 1995. He then attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1999. Due to his love for the mountains and the great outdoors, Dr. Doucette returned to Reno shortly after to begin his career in dentistry.

He developed a deep passion for cosmetic dentistry and began to focus on smile revitalization through the use of technologically advanced surgical/restorative cosmetic dental procedures. In 2009 after surgically placing dental implants for nearly ten years, Dr. Doucette successfully expanded his focus to the planning and placement of fixed full-arch implant-supported prosthetics via CT-Guided technology. Dr. Doucette’s extensive training in comprehensive dentistry over the past 21 years, coupled with his concern for every individual’s overall health have made him acutely aware of the vital role that efficient sleep plays in the optimal health and healing of his patients. Since 2014, Dr. Doucette has been screening and treating his patients for sleep breathing disorders such as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea. He’s shifted much of his practice’s focus to sleep and has lectured extensively around the United States on the subject.

Hermandeep Singh

Dr. Singh is a board-certified Sleep Medicine specialist. He earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago, Illinois and a residency in Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.  While practicing psychiatry for 8 years, he developed a keen interest in neuropsychiatric and cardiovascular consequences of untreated sleep disorders which led to completing a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas in 2006-2007 where he was the Chief Fellow and published a review paper on use of doxepin in the treatment of insomnia.

In 2008, he brought his expertise to the Tri-Valley area of Northern California as CEO of Sleep Medicine Specialists of California and continues to serve as Medical Director of the Tri-Valley Sleep Center in San Ramon. He is well qualified and has extensive experience in the evaluation and successful treatment of the entire gamut of sleep disorders in the pediatric and adult population such as sleep disordered breathing, insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, etc.

He is the Principal Investigator for 3 ongoing clinical trials and had the largest site on the west coast for the Pitolisant Early Access Clinical Evaluation (PEACE) trial. Dr. Singh is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the California Sleep Society. Dr Singh is also a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Gilles Lavigne

Dr. Gilles Lavigne received training in dental medicine (University de Montréal) followed by a speciality in oral medicine (Georgetown University) and a research internship in neuropharmacology of pain (NIH, Bethesda, USA). He holds a PhD in trigeminal neurophysiology (U Toronto). In 2009, he received an honorary doctorate (University of  Zurich) and in 2019 he was made a member of the Order of Canada.

He is a professor in dental medicine at the Université de Montréal, where he was vice-dean and dean for research. He co-edited 2 volumes, one on pain and sleep (IASP Press, 2007) and one on sleep medicine in dentistry (Quintessence 2009; re-edition in 2020).  Most recently he was a section editor for Principles and Practice of Sleep Medicine (Elsevier 2016; 2021).  He has published over 166 research articles and 110 reviews or scientific editorials in peer-reviewed journals.  His hospital practice is dedicated to orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine (bruxism, sleep apnea).

Lesia Crawford
Lesia Crawford

Along with Dr. Stacey Layman, Lesia Crawford has co-founded two successful DSM businesses: first was GoGo Billing, a pioneer of medical billing companies for dentists and more recently, GoTo Sleep Center for CPAP Alternatives with multiple locations throughout the Phoenix Valley.

The practice enjoys a case acceptance rate of greater than 90% because of Lesia’s humanistic, empathetic approach to the role of treatment coordinator and her keen focus on the health of her patients. Her other responsibilities as CEO lead her to focus on key performance indicators and the health of the practice.

When not obnoxiously laughing with her family, Lesia works out like a maniac.

Angela Kowaleski

Other than ‘dentist’, Angela Kowaleski has performed every role in a dental sleep practice over the past 20 years. Since 2018, her primary focus has been the physician liaison for a multi-office DSM practice in the Phoenix area that relies entirely on referrals. Angela is the conduit between the practice and referring physicians’ offices, requiring her to continually introduce new physician referral sources while also managing existing relationships.

Angela has mastered the art of targeting new referral sources and coordinating with the DSM practice to deliver optimal care and electric, fun, consistent communication. She is very skilled, very funny, and very short.

Randy Curran

Randy Curran is the co-founder and CEO of Pristine Medical Billing. With more than a decade of experience in the dental sleep field, Randy has seen more claims in a week than most practices will file in a lifetime. With clients across the country, Randy and his team have a laser-focus on changes and trends in the insurance world. His ceaseless drive to help save lives has allowed him to improve sleep medicine protocols and experiences in hundreds of practices across the United States.

Beyond his accomplishments and credibility in the sleep medicine world, Randy is a loving husband and father to a wonderful family, some of whom are part of the Pristine team. He coaches baseball and can still fire an 80 mph fastball past kids half his age.

Chad Wooters, MBA embarked on a journey through education, business development, and the dental industry that eventually led to dental sleep medicine. Since 2018, he has coached hundreds of dentists and teams nationwide and is the architect behind the Sleep Hero Network online academy. Using his varied experiences, Chad coaches dental practices to build successful Dental Sleep Medicine practices. 

As someone who struggles with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), he is deeply passionate about raising awareness of the significance of this health concern. As a national speaker and educator, Chad’s mission is to equip others with tools to ensure success for all stakeholders.
